About the Role :
Currently, the National IT End User Services Group is seeking a self-motivated, versatile Desktop Virtualization Engineer to be located in Dallas, TX. The Desktop Virtualization Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design and engineering lifecycle of virtual computing products and services running on Windows desktop OS.
You Will :
- Translate technical and business requirements into Enterprise level designs, validate in a test lab environment, publish findings and provide knowledge transfer internally.
- Provide technical leadership and serve as the technical point of contact for assigned projects.
- Participate in design sessions, assessment, analysis and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the design of practical and cost-effective solutions and services that meet customer requirements.
- Support operational teams with technical subject matter expertise.
- Assist with knowledge transfer to internal engineering and operational peers.
- Research new technologies, services and products and work with appropriate engineering teams to evaluate their applicability.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance for troubleshooting incidents.
- Coordinate with vendors and National IT End User Services Operations team to resolve Tier 3 issues.
- Coordinate and manage technical pilot and production projects including scheduling, resource identification, and making recommendations based on testing results.
- Document solutions to complex technical problems.
- Develop automation to replace / simplify daily operational tasks.
- Recommend procedures, controls and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and prevent recurring issues.
- Develop and document complex scripts to be utilized for automation of the virtual desktop infrastructure.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
