Company Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas develops conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects. Completes analysis of business requirements as it relates to technical infrastructure design and ensures traceability of the design to the business requirements. Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans. Associate level position requires general knowledge of field and industry practices.

- Performs resolution of moderately complex hardware and problems affecting application systems.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, installs and maintains moderately complex software / hardware enhancements to support current release levels.
- Performs change and problem management using standard tools following FRS change management policies and procedures for software / hardware propagation to other platforms and / or environments. Ensures conformance with existing system capability.
- Participates in evaluating design strategies. Identifies potential design problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Utilizes available tools for automation of manual processes.
- Interprets technical standards to apply programming and design techniques.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions : General office working environment. Will require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. May be exposed to moderate noise from equipment.
Physical Demands : Requires some degree of sitting (for prolonged periods of time), standing, lifting carrying, pushing, pulling more than 20 lbs.
Hours of Work : Monday to Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM; hours may vary due to assignments. May require extended work hours, as needed. Some overnight travel may be required. May be subject to on-call and call back as needed.
Job Function and Discipline :
Product Development - Engineering designs, validates, and brings new products to market. Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Designs, develops, executes and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials. Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
