What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vactor - Tester - 2nd shift starting at $27.83/hr position at Federal Signal?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test the finished truck to assure all components are working properly
- Work in a noisy, wet, cold and hot environment
- May be required to assemble components and sub-assemblies per drawings and verbal instructions
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications.
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace
- Overtime commitment when needed
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 2 years mechanical assembly experience
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and build tickets
- Able to operate overhead crane, hoist, miscellaneous air and electric hand tools
- Must be able to obtain a CDL license within 30 days of hiring into position
- Good attendance is a requirement
