What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work Cell Assembler - Micropulse - 1st Shift (7am - 3:30Pm) position at Federal Signal?
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Works from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions and test
- Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges and other equipment to meet production
- Requisitions and stores
- Passes Kan Ban cards to producing departments per defined
- Accumulates and moves items between storage areas and work
- Fills out and submits requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets and scrap tickets.
- Selects, verifies and identifies quantity of materials. Records and / or calls attention to shortages, possible rejected or damaged
- Sets up work cell
- Makes necessary adjustments of tools, gauges and equipment. Makes operational checks as required. Monitors work visually to maintain quality standards and notifies supervisor of nonconformance and / or operating
- Performs preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling, inspecting and minor adjustments) on equipment in the work
- Trains new and existing employees how to effectively work within the department, instructs them in all facets of the work cell
- Follows safety rules and keeps work cell area in a clean and orderly
- Uses computer to check the status of a customer's order and the status of a shop
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Wage Range - $15.98 / hr - $20.30 / hr
