We are looking for a Systems Engineer / Architect to work in Fort Meade, MD supporting our client.
Clearance : Secret
Salary : $87,000
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
- Security certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 14 days of start date.
- Experience leading solution design and architecture development for a complex cloud-based system.
- Experience with the design, develop, and delivery of data driven operations capabilities, in a DoD environment.
- Experience with Process Mapping.
- 4 years of systems engineering experience, including developing requirements traceability for software systems (RVTM), writing software systems engineering documents (SDP, etc.), and developing software interface documents (IDDs / ICDs).
- Experience working with the Linux operating system, and related operating system commands.
- Familiarity with web services APIs, including REST
- Experience identifying and tracking related project task dependencies, risks & possible mitigations.
- Experience estimating level of effort (hrs. / days / resources) to create a project plan and schedule.
- Experience working with a highly technical team and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience with project management and configuration management tools such as JIRA, Xray, Confluence and Git.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, systems engineers, and architects.
- Prioritizing work to meet fixed deadlines.
- Ability to travel periodically, as needed.
- Experience working and collaborating in a cross-discipline team with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
