Federal Thermal, a leading factory rep & stocking distributor of mechanical equipment, boilers & controls for commercial & industrial applications, is seeking a highly motivated and driven Account Manager to join our sales staff. We are looking for a hunter—someone eager to identify and build new accounts while also maintaining strong relationships with repeat customers.

Our corporate office is based in downtown Oklahoma City, with a retail location in Broken Arrow. We provide our sales team with the teamwork, support, and autonomy needed to succeed. What you Bring:

  • Customer-Focused & Team-Oriented: Energetic, collaborative, and eager to assist others.
  • Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass a safety sensitive drug test and a thorough background check
  • Solid understanding or familiarity with HVAC, industrial, and mechanical equipment and solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated experience in an ERP system, Word, Excel and other Office software
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and solutions
  • Proven sales experience, with a track record of building relationships and achieving results
  • Possesses a deep understanding of forecasting and sales process as well as a refined skill for negotiation and handling customer needs
  • Bachelor’s degree required (3 years of prior experience in outside B2B sales may be considered in lieu of a degree)

Account Manager Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a true hunter—someone who thrives on building new relationships, making cold calls, and actively seeking new business opportunities. If you are not afraid to pick up the phone, knock on doors, and drive new sales, this role is for you.

  • Proactively hunt for new business by identifying and reaching out to potential customers through cold calls, emails, networking, and in-person visits
  • Develop solutions that meet our customers’ needs by understanding their challenges and providing tailored product recommendations
  • Become an expert in our mechanical equipment, boilers, and controls to confidently present solutions to customers
  • Take ownership of your accounts, managing everything from quotes and accounting issues to customer service and education
  • Build a strong outbound sales strategy, consistently engaging with new and existing customers to expand the business
  • Join and actively participate in at least one professional association or networking group to establish connections and identify sales opportunities
  • Regularly forecast sales data and maintain accurate pipeline reports within Sales SharePoint
  • Work closely with sales engineers to identify new leads and grow the account base
  • Ensure follow-up on all leads and quotes, turning opportunities into closed deal
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts, ensuring leadership has visibility into growth potential
  • Cultivate strong internal and external relationships to foster long-term success
  • Consistently seek ways to expand business opportunities, both with new prospects and existing customers
  • Stay organized by maintaining digital records of customer interactions, updates, and product information
  • Keep all assigned account contact information current and up to date in ERP system
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall growth and success of the company

Compensation

  • Base pay - $50,000
  • Commission with monthly draw
  • Annual Profit-Sharing Program
