Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Counsel for Home Office Property and Casualty Claims to provide legal counsel and recommendations on complex claim-related matters and lawsuits against policyholders and the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background in tort claims and insurance coverage-related matters, as well as effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Provide legal counsel and recommendations to assist the P&C Claims team on complex claim-related matters and lawsuits.
- Assist with ongoing training and education for claims personnel and various claims-related initiatives.
The successful candidate will be located at our national headquarters in Owatonna, Minnesota, and will possess a Juris Doctorate degree, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing complex and large-value claim and litigation matters. Private practice experience is strongly preferred.
