The ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrated record (minimum of three years) of maintaining a high quality, positive, nurturing and enriching early childhood program and facilitating open communication with staff, parents, and community members
- Demonstrated record of successfully supervising teachers, managers, administrative and part-time staff
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of quality initiatives (NAEYC accreditation and Keystone Stars)
- Excellent written, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated success in managing a budget
- Demonstrated success working in a large organization and implementing policies and procedures

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
- A demonstrated record of maintaining a positive, nurturing and educationally stimulating child care environment (for children six weeks - five years)
- A demonstrated record of facilitating open and continuous communication with team members and being readily available, receptive and responsive to them
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of quality initiatives (e.g. NAEYC accreditation, Keystone Stars and E2L)
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of Head Start programs
- A minimum of five years of progressively more responsible child care center management experience
