What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard - Summer Camp position at Federation Early Learning Services (FELS)?
Fun in the Sun! Come join FELS as our Summer Camp Lifeguard!
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- High school diploma or a general educational development certificate
- At least 2 years of experience working with children
- At least 2 years of experience as a lifeguard
- Completion of lifeguard training, including first-aid training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for children and infants
- Completion of basic instruction in water safety from a certified lifeguard (FELS is willing to pay for necessary certifications!)
- Ability to work outside during the summer
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Plan and implement the daily pool facility activities
- Supervise the children’s safety in all aspects of the pool program
- Administer first aid when needed
- Provide swim skill instruction and guard during free swim periods (Must wear a bathing suit)
- Make sure everyone adheres to all pool rules
- Overall pool maintenance
- Provide chaperone coverage for trips
- Attend scheduled evening meetings, activities, and events
