Job Details
Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Coach's others in less senior positions. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or related field plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience.
Requirements
Must have 2 years of experience or coursework with the following skills (skills can be gained concurrently with education): Proficient in Data Architecture and Modeling for both relational and non-relational databases; design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines to move and transform data from various sources to data warehouses or other storage systems; Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark. Must have strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL; experience with cloud platforms, including Azure; proficiency in statistical techniques for data analysis and hypothesis testing; experience creating visualizations using Power BI; proficiency in machine learning algorithms, specifically Linear Regression, along with experience in hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, train-test split, and performance metric evaluation to ensure model optimization and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Plano, TX. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.*
