Position Overview:
- As Staff Director of Corporate Development, you will play a vital role in shaping the future growth trajectory of FedEx. Reporting to the Staff Vice President of Corporate Development & Treasury, you will be responsible for evaluating and executing strategic opportunities that align with our business objectives and priorities. This includes leading global, cross-functional teams to assess potential acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and equity investments, while also monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and risks. You will prepare and present recommendations to senior leadership and the board of directors, outlining the strategic rationale and potential benefits of proposed transactions. You will also be responsible for developing and managing relationships with external stakeholders, including potential partners, target companies, investment banks, and advisors.
Job Description Summary:
- Supports the activities of the corporate development department in managing the efficient formation of business combinations by FedEx Corporation and its affiliates, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliances.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/equivalent. MBA or Juris Doctorate preferred.
- Significant experience in corporate business transactions.
- Strong interpersonal, communications and judgment skills.
- Excellent presentation, analytical and negotiations skills.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
- Transportation and logistics industry experience.
- Corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and/or management consulting experience.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and deal structuring.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a strategic vision and passion for driving growth and innovation.
- Strong leadership and development capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a collaborative environment.

- This position will be in Memphis, Tennessee.
