Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a DCO 6 Site Lead to work in the Schriever SFB area.
A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret with SCI Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) within the assigned site, ensuring operational efficiency and mission success.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to cybersecurity personnel in a DoD Cybersecurity environment.
- Oversee daily operations of a Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP)/Security Operations Center (SOC) team, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives and frameworks.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize cybersecurity strategies and operational capabilities.
- Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability mitigation efforts.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Ensure compliance with DoD 8570/8140 requirements and maintain cybersecurity readiness.
- Other support duties as needed/directed.
Qualifications
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP)/Security Operations Center (SOC) operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing or supervising teams within a DoD cybersecurity environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading cybersecurity incident response teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and standards, including NIST, RMF, and DISA STIGs.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools, including SIEM solutions, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this role.
Certifications:
Must have one of the following:
- CySA (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst)
- CBROPS (Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate)
- CFR (CyberSec First Responder)
- FITSP-O (Federal IT Security Professional – Operator)
- GCIA (GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst)
- GDSA (GIAC Defensible Security Architecture)
- GICSP (GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
- GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst)
Clearance:
- Active Top-Secret w/ SCI Security Clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).

Salary : $165,000 - $170,000
