What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Software Development Services position at FedPoint?
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to join our team as a Manager Software Development Services. In this role, you will provide vision, leadership, and direction for the services required throughout the software development lifecycle. You will design and set up a Development Center of Expertise, supporting modernization and migration of application assets to the cloud, as well as maintaining the on-premise footprint. Youll oversee critical functions including Release & Change Management, Application Support, DevOps Pipeline Configuration, and Vulnerability Remediation.
Key Responsibilities:

Release and Change Management (25%)
- Oversee the holistic integration of processes and applications with enterprise systems.
- Participate in the Change Control Board (CCB) and facilitate application releases, ensuring communication and issue resolution for implementation.
- Track changes to the environment configuration, websphere, database, batch, and data fixes.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of software development and maintenance operations.

Application Services and Support (25%)
- Manage both on-premise (iSeries, DB2, WebSphere) and cloud environments.
- Direct and support team efforts in areas like user and security administration, database design, maintenance, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure proper coverage for on-call support, patching, and maintenance schedules.

DevOps Pipeline Configuration & Support (25%)
- Design, configure, and support on-premise and cloud-based DevOps pipelines.
- Implement automated testing tools and practices for functional, performance, and security scanning.

Operations Management (25%)
- Collaborate with IT SD Management on IT strategy and objectives.
- Lead the team in IT transformation initiatives, managing audit support, vulnerability remediation, and resource tracking.
- Promote cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory and security frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in technical, engineering, or business discipline preferred or comparable experience
- 10 years of Software development experience desirable.
- Minimum 5 years in a management / leadership role.
