Join FedPoints dynamic Digital Platforms & User Experience team as a Temporary UX/UI Designer and help us build inclusive, beautiful, and effective customer-facing self-service websites.
?? About the Role
As a UX/UI Designer & Accessibility Specialist, you'll use your creative design skills to ensure our websites are usable, intuitive, and compliant. Youll collaborate with a cross-functional team on everything from wireframes and prototypes to usability testing and accessibility audits.
This is a temporary rolebut your impact will be lasting.
?? What Youll Do

Design visually engaging, user-friendly, and accessible digital interfaces across web and mobile platforms

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions

Create and maintain design assets: wireframes, personas, user journeys, prototypes, and more

Collaborate on accessibility audits, compliance reporting, and testing with tools like WAVE, ANDI, and JAWS/NVDA

Use insights from analytics and feedback to improve user journeys and content strategy

Contribute to and evolve FedPoints design system and style guides
? Must-Have Experience

1 years working in UX/UI design and web accessibility

Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools

Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and basic ARIA practices

Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration
?? Bonus Points If You Have

Strong skills in visual design (typography, layout, color theory)

UX writing or content strategy chops

Experience working with government or regulated digital platforms
?? Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid) - 2 days per week in office
?? Duration: Temporary - ( estimate 6 months)
