What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Technician position at FedPro?
FedPro, Inc. a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a reliable, technical-minded and hands-on learner to join our FedPro team as a new Product Technician. In this role, the Product Technician will be responsible for assembling Thred Taper and ECSIII machines, as well as performing complex inspections, tests, troubleshooting, and repairs. This is an entry level position; recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply!

Location: Glenwillow, OH, in-office (7905 Cochran Rd #500)
Work Schedule: Day shift (M-F, 8 hours/day)
Reports to: Senior Division Director, AAS (who is located in onsite).
Team Dynamics: On a small operations team working alongside a Senior Product Technician and two other Production staff. Teamwork and a willingness to learn are necessary.
Travel: Less than 5% (if at all)
Certifications: None
The Ideal Candidate will have: A mechanical aptitude and someone who likes to work with their hands. Eager to learn, strong attendance, ambitious, and a passion for understanding machines. At least two years of job shop, tool and die, or machine shop experience is a plus.

What you’ll be doing:
- Assembles Thred Taper machines and ECSIII machines using parts from inventory.
- Repairs Thred Taper machine and ECSIII machines and provides repair price quoting to include diagnosing issues and problems with thorough visual inspection to ensure proper and consistent functionality.
- Performs maintenance on Thred Taper and ECSIII machines including but not limited to machine cleaning, adjustment and replacement of worn consumable parts, and testing of repaired machines.
- Assists the Senior Product Technician in frontline quality control by ensuring machines function properly, operate consistently, and meet standards for customer release.
- Communicates with customers and operators via email and phone to assist with troubleshooting.
- Manages inventory control of parts used during manufacturing and repairs.
- Receives in machine parts to inventory and verify parts meet specs and drawings on file.
Background you’ll need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma
- Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electronics.
- Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands.
- Two-three (2-3) years of job shop, tool and die, and machine shop experience preferred in an increasingly expanded role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of the internet a plus.
