Business Analyst
FedTec is seeking BA with senior-level business analysis work as well as user experience design work to ensure a positive and productive end user experience. The position will ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and research and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices and will partner with the product team and other key stakeholders on design solutions. The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Senior-level business analysis work as well as user experience design work to ensure a positive and productive end user experience.
· The position will ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and research and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices and will partner with the product team and other key stakeholders on design solutions.
· The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.
· This BA will be involved at some level throughout the entire software development life cycle.
· Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements, including requirements for enhancements post-implementation.
Basic Qualifications – Required Education, Certifications, Skills, and Experience
· Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
· Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
· Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
· Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
· Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
· Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
· Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
· Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, & prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
· Experience ensuring designs and website conform to federal accessibility guidelines
Preferred Skills:
· Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
· Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
· Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
· Documented work experience in early childhood care and education
