Job Overview:
Client needs a qualified contract Business Analyst for a 12-month contract. The Business Analyst must have at least 7 years of experience analyzing business requirements, designing data models, and creating business intelligence reports and 4 years of direct experience with SAP BI Web Intelligence/Business Objects and Ellucian Colleague Student Information System (SIS). Preferred skills include Microsoft Power BI, SQL and Unidata databases.

Responsibilities:
· Thorough understanding of Colleague and SAP Business Intelligence data elements including knowledge of Colleague functionality to the extent of understanding how business processes affect timing and accuracy of data for reporting.
· Develop or modify Business Intelligence and Power BI reports, data extracts or system interfaces. Thorough understanding of how to validate data presented in these deliverables.
· Develop or modify Microsoft Power BI reports.
· Support Programmer/Analysts with data element analysis and data used in API’s or batch interfaces.
· Work as a liaison between the programmer/analysts and the end user departments to define business solutions and requirements, identify the pertinent data elements, develop process flows, specifications, test plans, and coordinate the implementation of the solution.
· Troubleshoot technical or data issues with business intelligence reports or interfaces.
· Participate and/or lead technical projects using formal project management methodologies. Projects may include internal staff, end users, and external vendors/consultants.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint.
· Create and update tickets in the college’s ticket system (TeamDynamix) adhering to procedures for incidents, service requests, SLA’s and change management.
· Maintain currency with technological changes/advancements related to discipline and recommend ways to take advantage of them.
· Follow Macomb security policies and procedures.
· Effectively communicate to end user departments as well as the IT Department and vendors.
· Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of data element analysis and business intelligence report generation.
· At least 4 years of direct experience with SAP BI data structures and table relationships with Ellucian Colleague.
· Proven ability to collaborate with end users, map data elements, define business requirements, and deliver solutions on schedule.
· Macomb Community College reserves the right to interview candidates and validate their qualifications. Macomb also reserves the right to change consultants during the 12-month contracting term if the contractor is not performing to our standards.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
