About the Opportunity:
FedTec is looking to hire a skilled IT Technical Writer to join our team and play a vital role in producing high-quality technical documentation for various IT projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation. The IT Technical Writer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create user SOP's, manuals, technical guides, and other technical documents to support IT products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for various IT systems, applications, and processes.
- Create, edit, review monthly contract deliverables, and ensure documentation and reports are submitted by established due dates.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of technical content.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation appropriate for various audiences, including end-users, administrators, and developers.
- Organize and structure technical information effectively, using diagrams, charts, and other visuals as needed to enhance understanding.
- Create and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.
- Review and edit documentation written by others to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts, to gather information and ensure documentation meets project requirements and deadlines.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of information technology concepts, systems, and processes.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience creating documents such as Standard Operating Procedures and other technical documentation.
Work Schedule: 08:00AM 4:00PM (Monday Friday)
