Job Description:

FedVet, recognized for its expertise in federal projects, is seeking a seasoned construction superintendent (tri-hat) for projects located at the VA Long Beach. The ideal candidate should have experience in federal contracting, particularly with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore, Project Schedule / Three Week Look Ahead (plus), QCM, safety. 

Responsibilities:

·        This Superintendent (Tri-Hat) will use Procore daily as the primary tool for managing all field documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, quality control logs, as-builts and safety records. Their responsibilities include real-time updates to the three-week lookahead schedule, coordination with the VA COR, and maintaining full compliance documentation using Procore’s platform.

·        Responsible for maintaining weekly schedule updates, including the three-week lookahead and lean board.

·        Manage and plan crew workers, subcontractors, and suppliers with the Project Manager and customer to ensure efficient project completion within budget and schedule constraints.

·        Maintain a strong focus on on-site safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture among the project team.

·        Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.

·        Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes, technical issues, and constructability challenges.

·        Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the construction team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

·        Always provide support to team members.

 

 

Requirements:

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in federal contracting, with specific experience on VA projects.

·        Must have valid certification in OSHA 30; USACE EM-385-1 (Plus).

·        Familiar with ICRA

·        Familiar with VA permit processing

·        Demonstrated expertise in tenant improvements, showcasing successful project delivery in these areas.

·        In-depth understanding of VA processes, specifications, and standards.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Procore, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for project management and documentation.

·        Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

·        Proven leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience with tenant improvements.

·        Experience with hospital work. 

·        Experience with HVAC, Electrical, Drywall, Framing, Painting

·        QCM – Quality Control Management Training

Additional Job Information:

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
