Job Description:
FedVet is seeking a Construction Superintendent to work in the San Bernardino/Riverside counties. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in federal contracting, particularly with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore, and USACE RMS.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate sequence of work with PM, Subcontractors, Client, and Government.
- Plan and procure materials, equipment, resources with General Superintendent for weekly activities and for six weeks projecting plan.
- Maintain accurate and always updated “As Built” Project Drawings.
- Provide support and meet with PM and project scheduler to update the master project schedule, weekly.
- Familiar with Pull Planning (Plus - familiar with Lean Construction)
- Updated field six weeks-look-ahead “lean board”, weekly.
- Generate Three-Week Look Ahead using Procore, weekly.
- Attend and participate in the recuring weekly meetings.
- Keep the site clean and always organized.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes, unforeseen, different site conditions, technical issues, and constructability challenges.
- Collaborate with team members by overseeing the successful execution of the projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate, plan, support team members during regular inspections to assess project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the construction team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in federal contracting, with specific experience on USACE and VA projects.
- Must have working knowledge and certification in USACE EM-385-1.
- Demonstrated expertise in tenant improvements, showcasing successful project delivery in these areas.
- In-depth understanding of USACE and VA processes, specifications, and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore and RMS, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for project management and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals.
- Familiar with the three phases of control
- Always provide support to all team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent – Required!
- EM-385-1 Certificate
- QCM (Certificate – Plus)
- Familiar with RMS (Plus)
- Familiar with Lean Construction (Plus)
Additional Job Information:
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 annually
