Overview
FedWriters is building a team to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) J62 Program Executive Office in developing acquisition strategies and providing technical support services for combat support IT solutions. As a Business Process Subject Matter Specialist, you will provide expert technical knowledge and analysis of specialized applications while supporting high-level functional systems analysis, design, and implementation to aid DLA's business transformation initiatives.

Work Schedule and Location:
Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with periodic visits onsite at Ft. Belvoir.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis of specialized applications and operational environments
- Support high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation
- Participate in all phases of software development with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, and documentation
- Assist with acquisition strategies, business case analyses, and analyses of alternatives
- Support capability development documentation and change proposals
- Help develop and review communication plans, site assessments, and milestone reviews
- Provide recommendations to support programmatic direction and objectives
- Support risk management activities and program schedule updates
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Five (5) years relevant experience in business process analysis or improvement
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (i.e. CBPP, CBAP, ITIL Certification, Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt), PMP, PgMP)
- Current IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3)
- Experience with DoD business processes and IT systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DLA business systems and enterprise applications
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and documentation
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Familiarity with portfolio management and enterprise architecture concepts
- Background in DoD logistics, supply chain, or information technology
