FedWriters is building a team to provide comprehensive program support to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) across key areas including program planning, review management, and oversight activities. This role provides essential program management support to advance NSF's research initiatives in computing theory, software and hardware foundations, and communications.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at NSF Headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Support preparation, staffing, and clearing of program solicitations and management plans
- Develop communication materials and presentations for program officers
- Coordinate logistics for workshops and community engagement activities
- Maintain process documents, templates, and timelines for proposal review
- Support proposal panel organization using available tools
- Assist with panelist recruitment and reviewer database management
- Aid in conducting reviewer surveys and data curation
- Help coordinate community and interagency planning activities
- Support panel scheduling and documentation
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience managing research projects and teams
- Demonstrated experience in research and program management
- Project management experience with complex projects and budgets
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
- Experience with collaboration tools including SharePoint, Teams, Box, and Slack
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated ability to automate and innovate processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Experience in federal grant management
- Knowledge of NSF programs and processes
- Background in computing theory or communications
- Experience with technical writing and documentation
- Demonstrated organizational and process improvement skills
