Overview
FedWriters is building a team to support NAVSEA's communications and public affairs operations at the Washington Navy Yard. As a Social Media Manager, you will create and curate content for the command's social media platforms while tracking engagement metrics to maximize reach across diverse audiences including Congress, DoD stakeholders, industry partners, and the general public.

**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm at the Washington Navy Yard, 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue, Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Primary manager and content creator for the command's social media sites (currently Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram).
- Curates all relevant visual and audio/video media and news products, creates and retains statistics/measures of effectiveness for maximum engagement to a wide range of audiences; including Members of Congress, Department of Defense (DOD), industry stakeholders, general public as wells as military and civilian personnel within the NAVSEA enterprise.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications;
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing social media platforms
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in English or Communications or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense
