Cashier/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage cash operations will contribute to a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer knowledge.
• Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and provide change to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Supervise junior staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Proficient in cash handling, including experience with POS systems and cash registers.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform stock management tasks efficiently.
• Sales experience is a plus, particularly in promoting products through demos or direct engagement.
• Supervisory skills are beneficial for overseeing team operations during shifts.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
