Job Overview
This position plays a vital role in the efficient operations of our warehouse by meticulously fulfilling orders, maintaining optimal storage conditions, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Essential Job Functions:
· Carefully and accurately pick and assemble orders for agency pick-up and branch deliveries from the designated pick list.
· Familiarize yourself with the layout and organization of the warehouse areas to efficiently locate and select items.
· Monitor for proper warehouse temperatures to ensure the quality and integrity of products.
· Adhere to cold chain protocols when handling and transporting temperature sensitive products.
· Keep track of product quantities and inform supervisors when stock levels are low to facilitate timely reordering.
· Inspect selected items for quality, ensuring they meet the organization's standards before including them in orders.
· Order Accuracy: Cross-reference selected items with the pick list to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders, minimizing errors.
· Properly package and label orders, taking care to prevent damage to products and ensuring clear identification.
· Collaborate with agency representatives to load selected orders into their vehicles, providing assistance as needed.
· Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to safely transport selected items to the loading area.
· Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in different environments, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others.
· Keep the order selection and agency areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.
· Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) and/or first-expired, first out (FEFO) principles to ensure that older products are selected first to prevent waste.
· Maintain accurate records of selected items, ensuring that inventory counts are up-to-date and align with the organization's systems.
· Effectively communicate with supervisors and colleagues regarding inventory status, any challenges faced during order selection, and potential improvements.
· Efficiently manage your time to meet order fulfillment deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
· Address any discrepancies or issues with orders promptly and collaboratively, finding solutions to minimize disruptions.
· Comply with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and industry-specific standards related to product selection.
· Contribute to the optimization of order selection processes by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
· Adapt to changing work demands, such as fluctuating order volumes and evolving inventory needs.

Professional Requirements:
· Ability to lift more than 40 pounds on a regular basis.
· Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
· Knowledge of warehouse operations.
