Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and is a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400 food pantry partners.

SUMMARY
Organized, detail-oriented team player with passion for providing excellent customer service for those both internal and external while creating rewarding, fun and meaningful experiences that connect community members with Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission to feed people in need, mobilizing the community to end hunger. This person would implement the operations and activities of nearly 50,000 volunteers per year in action with the organization and help grow that number in support of our strategic goals. Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision and be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. The incumbent should enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and demonstrate the ability to embrace Feeding Tampa Bay’s commitment to treat all people with equity and respect.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements and organizes on-site volunteer activity while collaborating across multiple departments
- Facilitates an excellent volunteer experience for all by providing customer service and orientations, while celebrating the work of volunteers
- Fosters a culture of safety by prioritizing safety; supporting the implementation of volunteer training and screening measures; and reporting incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions
- Provide excellent customer service to all potential donors, visitors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Takes part in “all hands-on deck” special events such as Fork Fight, Hunger Dinner, canstructions, food drives, etc., when needed
- Operation of a forklift and/or electric pallet jack (previous training not required).
- Ability to work independently and be accurate with data
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Work in an environment that will contain: variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to noise, dust and dirt.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite (will be trained if needed)
- Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests
- Performs related duties as required or assigned; assists other departments as requested; may work evenings and weekends, as needed
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and/or adjust work schedule to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite preferred.
- Innovative self-starter and problem solver with a bias towards action.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with high professionalism.
- Experience managing large groups of volunteers is preferred.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Exercise good judgment and discretion with strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information.
- Warehouse and forklift experience is a plus. Willingness to learn is accepted.

- Current FTB employees must be in good standing.
