Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and process payments using the cash register
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food items
- Prepare food items, such as sandwiches and pastries, according to established recipes
- Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Upsell additional products or menu items to customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Experience in the food service industry preferred
- Familiarity with the Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong cash handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties
- Basic math skills for retail transactions
