Summary :

Feeney, Inc. is seeking a gregarious self-starter, with excellent time management skills, for the position ofTerritory Manager (TM) within the Southwest market, territory includes : Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The TM works independently, as well as, in conjunction with the Central Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Vice President of Business Development (VPBD), to drive demand and new sales of Feeney products to dealers, contractors, builders, fabricators, and end users.

A successful TM will have a high energy level and a focused drive to achieve the financial budgets and improve the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) within the Southwest Territory. The TM is responsible for all aspects of new account acquisition, including selling over the phone, by email, and in person.Core responsibilities include various forms of prospecting, project site assessment and material takeoff, relationship development, sales cycle management, presentation delivery, trainings, negotiations, following-up on opportunities and quotes, and ultimately facilitating the RSM in executing pull-through sales of Feeney products.

Required Skills :

  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, all while managing multiple customers at different stages of the sales cycle
  • Basic understanding of national and regional building codes as they relate to guardrail, handrail, and other architectural products germane to our product offering
  • Technologically proficient and adept
  • Demonstrably proficient in basic computer skills and programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, basic data entry, and CRM software
  • The ability to write lexically and grammatically correct correspondences
  • Reasonably articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior construction and / or building material industry experience
  • Independent, forward thinker and strong problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail

Responsibilities :

  • Manage independent sales representatives, including setting targets and goals, and ensuring their performance aligns with company objectives.
  • Provide technical product support to all customers within the channel
  • Act as key liaison and product champion within the specified geographical territory
  • Work with our internal sales, marketing, and product development teams when appropriate to facilitate sales growth
  • Develop and implement strategies with the RSM and VPBD to drive commercial transactional sales to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Develop and implement strategies with the RSM and VPBD to create strategic account wins and competitive win backs
  • Work with RSM to meet and exceed sales goals and forecasts to ensure the company successfully meets revenue, profitability and market share targets
  • Communicate effectively with industry professionals as / when needed, with knowledge of commonly used construction methods and nomenclature
  • Be an expert on the materials, goods and services provided by Feeney and its partners
  • Provide first-level support to inside sales estimators and assist in the quoting process as / when needed
  • Handle sales correspondences in a courteous, professional and helpful manner
  • Build on sales by suggesting additional materials as are needed and specific to project at hand
  • Collect the proper documentation and signatures in relation to sales, customer programs, builder programs, and other various marketing programs and promotions
  • Follow-up on all customer inquiries and opportunities, as appropriate
  • Provide technical support and education on Feeneys products and services to facilitate growth and market penetration
  • Attend sales and other company meetings, as required
  • Attend marketing events and trade shows, as needed
  • Travel as needed and required
  • Learn and understand company policies and procedures
  • Special projects, as assigned
  • Education & Experience

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 3 years relevant sales experience in the construction and / or building material supply industry
