Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nutrition and dietary management, ensuring that all residents receive appropriate meals tailored to their health needs. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise, budgeting skills, and supervisory experience to effectively manage dietary operations and staff.

To qualify to be interviewed:
- Must have experience managing food service in a healthcare environment
- Computer skills required
- Knowledge of clinical documentation preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare dietary restrictions preferred
- ServSafe Certification required (we can give the exam at no charge)
- Must be a Dietary manager or willing to complete the Dietary Manager course within 1 year
For the safety of our residents,
- Must be able to furnish 2 work references
- Must have an acceptable background check
- Must be able to pass drug screen
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to determine individual dietary needs.
- Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on residents' health conditions and preferences.
- Supervise the dietary department staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality service.
- Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and meal preparation.
- Oversee meal preparation, including tube feeding protocols for residents requiring specialized nutrition.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address residents' nutritional concerns and dietary modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary assessments, meal plans, and resident feedback.
