What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Sheet Metal position at Feldkamp Enterprises?
Feldkamp Enterprises, Inc, a Marsden Holding Company is a non-union full-service mechanical contractor in Cincinnati, OH specializing commercial sheet metal fabrication and install. We are currently looking to bring a Project Manager to join our Sheet Metal Team.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is directly responsible for the oversite of any/all projects and jobsites assigned by President, Director of Administration or Head Estimator. This includes, but is not limited to:
Complete Turnover/Scope Meeting with Estimation Department to review project budgets, production timelines, manpower requirements, General Contractor contacts, provided drawings and specifications, material and equipment requirements, etc., to ensure all details align with the estimate and are accurate for the project.
Provide feedback on any discrepancies between initial budgets and materials to ensure all aspects of the job are outlined per the estimate and specifications.
Coordinate with Drafting Department on any/all drawing requirements pertaining to each Departmental specification (Sheetmetal, Plumbing, Piping, etc.,).
Facilitate assigning appropriate Foreman to each jobsite as required by production and man hours outlined in Turnover Meeting and job specifications.
Coordinate with Foreman on the timelines for purchasing of materials, reviewing weekly job costs and productive hours, ensure appropriate communication regarding project timelines, known issues, changes to scope of work or projected timelines, reviewing of other sub-contractors onsite which directly affect jobsite production and deadlines.
Attend weekly Operations Meeting to address job costs, % of completion for each project and phase, review and ensure tracking forms are accurate, update on any change orders and T&M Tickets received or completed, anticipated labor to finish the job, discuss any current or potential problem areas (schedule, other trades, damages, changes, coordination, etc.,).
Communicate via email, phone or in-person with General Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Vendors as required.
Document all aspects of the project and jobsites via ProCore, email and official letterhead as required for any know issues, meeting notes and agendas, scope of work changes (change orders, T&M Tickets, etc.,).
Update President and Head Estimator on any known issues with the project which requires additional deadline requests, material or equipment delays or costs, potential for damages, letters that have been sent with updates to General Contractors, lawyer involvement, etc...
Provide leadership and any required direction or training to Foreman as needed to develop talent and skills.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
The Project Manager must have the following skills and experience:
Completed at least 10 years of verifiable field work directly related to the position (Sheetmetal, Plumbing, Piping, etc.,);
Must have at least 5 years of verifiable and successful leadership of crews or projects directly related to the position (Sheetmetal, Plumbing, Piping, etc.,);
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner to all levels inside and outside the company;
ComputerEase experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
The Project Manager is required to have the following certifications or education, or the ability to obtain the following:
Journeyman Level experience (5 years of field work or Journeyman License)
Master Plumber License preferred (Plumbing)
Weld Certified (Piping)
OSHA 30 Certified
