Description:
Feldman Automotive is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist with benefits administration experience to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and ensure proper enrollment and compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Coordinate and process FMLA, STD, LTD claims
- Respond to and manage unemployment claims
- Manage workers’ comp claims and submit claims to insurance carriers.
- Manage HR compliance initiatives, including labor laws, policies, and OSHA reporting requirements.
- Assist in payroll processing, including auditing the biweekly payroll files and maintaining benefits owed spreadsheet.
- Monitor HRIS and benefit system to maintain consistency and ensure HRIS is updated timely.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve overall HR processes and employee experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role, with a focus on benefits administration.
- Knowledge of HR Laws & Compliance: Strong understanding of FMLA, COBRA, ACA, ADA, FLSA, and other relevant employment regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and benefits administration platforms.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Paylocity experience a plus
- Excel experience required.
