Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on preferences.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, handling cash and credit card payments efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and service.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; familiarity with retail math is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures to maintain safety standards in beverage preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
