Job Title : Credits and Returns Specialist

Department : Finance & Accounting

Reports to : Senior Accountant

Salary : $28-$31 / hour - Commensurate with skills and experience

We are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances, including vaccine, healthcare and life science refrigeration. Our Finance & Accounting team is opening a new role based in our Edison, New Jersey office for Returns Analyst. This position will report to the Senior Accountant and will be responsible for managing the returns and credit processes.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Use NetSuite to

Validate return authorization requests for accuracy and adherence to Company policies.

Validate, process and distribute credit memos derived from completed return authorizations.

Validate, process and distribute credit memos related to sales order / invoice adjustments.

Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Accounts Receivable teams on status of return authorizations and credit memos.

Analyze, trend and report return and credit data by customer.

Assist, as needed, the Accounts Receivable team with customer account maintenance and collections activities.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have a strong work ethic, be well organized, a self-starter and able to apply intellect.

Must possess a sense of urgency in process compliance and procedure adherence.

Detail oriented, positive, professional attitude, reliable.

Knowledge of accounting principles, including applicable accounts receivable / general ledger systems and procedures.

Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

Associates degree in business, accounting or finance (minimum).

1 to 3 years' experience in distribution, manufacturing, or retail.

1 to 3 years' experience with return authorizations and credit memos.

Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-H-X Lookups, IF statements).

Experience working with ERP systems. (Oracle NetSuite, preferred but not required)

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Job is performed in an office environment. Remote or work-from-home is not applicable to this position.

Work schedule is M-F, 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm
