What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at Feller Engineering?
Feller Engineering (www.fellerpe.com) has an immediate need for an experienced Finance Manager to help drive and support key initiatives related to finance, payroll and benefits. This individual takes joy in being accurate, knowing the books in and out, and being the go-to person for our team when it comes to all things finance. This position in on site at our Fort Lauderdale office; not hybrid.
Responsibilities to include:
· Process biweekly in-house payroll in DELTEK – Vision Software.
· Biweekly payroll taxes.
· Prepare tax filing after each quarter to include bi-weekly 941 and quarterly 940-941 SUTA FUTA.
· Prepare W2 and 1099 at year end.
· Manage Human Resources.
· Responsible for Retirement Plan – 401K.
· Responsible for Health Plans.
· Onboarding New Hire.
· Preparation of monthly Management Report including Balance Sheet, Income statement and various other reports.
· Weekly cash flow forecasting.
· Reconcile the bank accounts daily in excel cash balance report.
· Reconciling the G/L to A/R, A/P & Cash and prepare monthly journal entries.
· Work with immigration attorneys to process H1B petition filings .
· Maintain Accounts Receivable Aging and Collections.
· Supervise and review all A/P entries for proper GL coding and timing consistency.
· Revenue accruals.
· Forecasting and budgeting when needed.
· Maintain other schedules i.e., Sales by Client, Backlog History, Sales Breakdown by Month, etc.
· Annual commercial insurance renewals.
· Validate all Proposals and Add Services.
· Collaborate with Project Managers and monthly review all types of billings to determine monthly amount to invoice for all projects with remaining fees to bill.
· Prepare all invoices and email to clients with supporting documents.
· Resolve all billings disputes and discrepancies and properly update DELTEK and other associated schedules by generating void/credit invoices and potential re-invoicing.
· Review all Subcontractor invoices against project billed and paid.
· Provide project information as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with at least 3 years of experience.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel pivot tables, vlookup, and comma-delimited file formats) and project-based ERP system like Deltek.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
