We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting orthodontic procedures. This position requires proficiency in various dental technologies and a strong understanding of orthodontic practices.

Core Competencies:
- Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience
- CPR certification
- Prior knowledge of orthodontics is recommended but we will train on the job.

- Prior experience in orthodontic treatment is desirable. Dr. Lin will personally train you every step of the way and will help you grow professionally and personally.
- Dual-function as front desk concierge as needed (will train on the job).
Duties
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary.
- Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions.
- Perform medical imaging as directed by the orthodontist.
- Document patient information accurately in orthodontic software.
- Understand and apply dental terminology effectively during patient interactions.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support the orthodontic team with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Exhibit knowledge of anatomy to assist in treatment planning and execution.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- General cleaning of the office to maintain a sanitary environment for the patients.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.81 per hour
