Job Responsibilities
- Perform duties to set up corrugated Die Cut, feed, and related equipment. Feed stock, and assist Die Cut Operator.
- Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals and environment.
- Work from specifications, demonstration and instructions to measure and visually inspect incoming stock, set up feed and die cut sections, including position hopper guides, set height and backstop, fill hopper, and mount proper cutting die. During operation, feed stock and visually inspect material.
- Inspect dies and maintain proper die storage.
- Assist operator as necessary to complete set-up. Communicate mechanical or quality problems to the operator, department supervisor, superintendent, or equipment maintenance.
- Operate die cutter on breaks and during operator's absence.
- Other related and similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work a 40 hour work schedule. Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
- Physical presence at designated worksite.
- Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
- Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training, and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing. Use RF (radio frequency) units.
- Experience using hand tools: tape measure, impact wrench and die cutter and feed equipment.
- Work in a machine paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Perform repetitive tasks as required.
Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.

The hiring range for this position in Itasca, IL is $19 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
