Position Summary:
The Facilities Technician position provides support for daily activities and upkeep related to housekeeping, event furniture set up and small projects. The position requires the ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
General cleaning of building areas, worship areas, restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms
Event set up/tear down by moving tables and chairs in and out of event spaces before they start and after they end
Empty outdoor trash cans and picking up litter on grounds and parking lots
Follow daily instruction from manager
Other related projects, tasks, and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of commercial housekeeping experience
Knowledge and Skills:
General working knowledge of housekeeping, furniture moves
The ability to print and read event calendars in order to perform set up is preferred
Dependability with reporting for work as scheduled, and clocking in and out on time - required
Willing and able to learn new tasks quickly
Initiates well on their own and can work well on their own; establishes, priorities, and plans accordingly
Knows personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and limits; seeks feedback; gains insights from mistakes; is open to criticism; is not defensive; is receptive to talking about shortcomings
