Job Type: Per-diem (Monday-Sunday)

Fellowship House is currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our Residential Department as a Housing Specialist. Our residential programs are designed to help our members achieve stability, develop life skills, and work toward their personal goals. This is an ideal position for psychology students or anyone interested in gaining entry-level experience in the mental health field!
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with members in their housing settings in order to maximize their chances for successful, independent community living.
- Providing regular inspections to ensure that members are utilizing appropriate cleanliness and safety techniques in their apartments.
- Monitoring medications of members experiencing exacerbated symptoms or showing difficulty managing treatment regimen.
- Encouraging the restoration of social skills by engaging members in conversations regarding their progress and treatment.
- Providing assistance with budgeting, money management, food planning and other organizational activities that arise in the residential arena.
- Maintaining effective communication with all direct service staff in relation to apartment member concerns, needs and goals.
- Assisting with the development of community resources for residential members to promote their independence and self-reliance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents and staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, on an as-needed basis.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations.
