Overview
We are Fellowship Square Tucson, a not-for-profit senior living community seeking a compassionate, energetic Resident Care Assistant (non-certified) to be part of our Christian Care Family. We are looking a professional, experienced individual dedicated to enriching the lives of our independent living while being committed to meeting their day-to-day needs and helping to preserve their dignity and quality of life.
The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of support services to our independent residents
Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate with and relate well to an elderly population.
- Ability to provide quality assistance and care for an elderly population.
- Ability to operate and use housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret written procedures and directions.
- Perform medication reminders.
- Conduct welfare checks as needed on residents.
- Able to provide physical assistance as needed to residents.
- Provide laundry and bedding assistance services.
- Perform meal preparations, light housekeeping, and dog walking services.
- Ability to use the computer to obtain continuing education credits.
- Report verbally and in writing on individual client's abilities and potential changes to the service needs.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Prior caregiving experience a plus.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- May be required to work weekends and, or holidays.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Hard worker.
- Team player.
- Compassionate.
