Overview

Are you a dynamic and strategic HR leader with a passion for making a meaningful impact? Join our mission-driven non-profit organization as the Vice President of Human Resources, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce across our six senior living campuses. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will lead key HR initiatives, foster a thriving workplace culture, and drive strategic HR programs aligned with our mission, vision, and values. This role requires routine travel to our Arizona campuses to maintain direct oversight and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Lead recruitment efforts, develop workforce planning strategies, and implement retention programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Establish performance management systems, foster employee engagement, and build a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Training & Development: Assess and implement staff development programs, leadership training, and succession planning initiatives to empower employees and enhance resident care.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Evaluate and recommend competitive compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain a highly performing workforce.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with workplace safety, HR regulations, and industry standards, while implementing risk management strategies.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate HR program effectiveness and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • A Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) required.

 Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in a senior leadership role preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or non-profit sectors preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Expertise in HR strategy, compliance, talent management, and workforce planning.
  • Experience managing multi-site HR operations is highly desirable.
