Fellowship Village is a thriving aging adult community where we are committed to delivering top-quality healthcare and support to our residents. We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to support our dentist in providing exceptional dental care to our residents twice a month. As a Dental Assistant, you will work directly with the dentist to assist in routine dental procedures, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable experience for all patients.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare examination and treatment areas by setting up instruments and equipment.
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, including handling instruments and managing suction equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Take and process dental X-rays as needed.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and documenting treatment.
- Educate residents on post-procedure care and general oral health practices.
Requirements:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Proficient in dental assisting procedures and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care.
- Experience with senior patients is a plus.
Schedule:
- Twice a month, working every other Tuesday.
