Maintenance Technician
FEMA Corporation is looking for two full-time Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support First Shift and Third Shift production. Normal work hours for First Shift are Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30pm with overtime as needed. Normal hours for Third Shift are 8:30 pm - 7:00 am. These positions will report to the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor.
Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical and electrical understanding, but it is not required to be specific to the manufacturing and automation field. Expectation of candidates is to have strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, initiative, and desire to grow within the role and department.
Job Duties:
· Respond to line breakages; interpret PLC program logic and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
· Suggest permanent solutions to recurring problems as part of the repair process
· Perform all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to lock-out/tag-out practices and being mindful of product integrity
· Work with minimal supervision while maintaining good time management and initiative
· Collaborate closely with Engineering and Production on problem analysis/identification and implementation of long-term solutions to issues
Job Requirements:
· Must have High school diploma/GED
· Must be willing to pursue a 2-year degree in related field
· Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
· Basic understanding of wiring schematics and circuits
· Strong communication skills and ability to relay information to team
· Familiarity with precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
· Willingness to work on/troubleshoot CNC equipment
