POSITION SUMMARY:


The Warehouse & Customer Service Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities while providing exceptional customer service. This position involves managing warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, and organizing materials, as well as engaging with customers to process orders, answer inquiries, and provide product recommendations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are key to this role. The Warehouse & Customer Service Associate will also assist with inventory control and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with our diverse customer base.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare materials for customer orders.
  • Engage with customers in both English and Spanish to answer inquiries, process orders, and provide product recommendations.
  • Maintain organized inventory in the warehouse, ensuring all materials are easily accessible.
  • Assist in inventory control and stock replenishment to ensure the warehouse is fully stocked.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cutting tools as needed.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the warehouse and while interacting with customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and via email.

CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES:


  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling materials.
  • Ability to operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members in both English and Spanish.
  • Dependable with a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to follow safety and operational procedures.
  • A team player with clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required for deliveries and company vehicle operation.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in landscaping or interior/exterior construction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Proven track record of reliability and productivity.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
  • Capable of working in various positions, including standing, bending, and moving throughout the warehouse.
  • Good manual agility for handling equipment and paperwork.
  • Ability to use basic warehouse tools and equipment safely.
  • Comfort working in both an office and warehouse setting.
