Fence Stile Vineyards, Winery & Distillery is a small business in Excelsior Springs, MO. We are customer-centric, fast-paced, and engaging and our goal is to have wine be an experience to be savored and shared! The Fence Stile experience begins as soon as guests enter the grounds. We have endeavored to create an environment where the drive up the winding driveway and the gentle unfolding of the vineyards and tasting room create anticipation for the guests. While only 30 minutes from Kansas City, we want to create an experience that allows the guest an escape close to home. The patios and long walk up to the tasting room are designed to increase eagerness and excitement for what they are about to experience. The wine experience begins with YOU! From the moment you greet them (on the patio or in the tasting room), you are the key to their experience! The tasting room team member is part of the team responsible for the guest experience. You will be the first impression of hospitality and warmth and will set the tone for the visit.

We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and friendly people to join our team.

Responsibilities:

¥ Greet all guests to the tasting room & and provide gracious hospitality.

¥ Pour wines and spirits for tastings, discuss wines & and answer questions as appropriate.

¥ Share the history of the property and facility

¥ Routine point-of-sale transactions (cash register, logging tasting room bottles, etc.)

¥ Enroll wine club members

¥ Ensure wine club members receive their benefits

¥ Light kitchen & bathroom cleaning duties

¥ Water plants & general patio upkeep

¥ Setup the patio for guests, music events, and movies on the patio

Qualifications:

¥ Must be 21

¥ A strong work ethic

¥ Reliable transportation

¥ The ability to take direction and work independently.

¥ Friendly & outgoing

¥ Professional & neat appearance

¥ Flexible schedule (primary shifts are weekend shifts – Friday, Saturday, and occasional Sundays)

¥ Sales, hospitality, or guest services experience preferred

¥ Wine knowledge is an asset

¥ Able to work at festivals and off-site events

¥ Must be able to carry 40lbs (cases of wine) up flights of stairs

¥ Pay will be dependent on experience and skill set.

¥ Must pass a background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
