Vineyard Worker

A vineyard and facility crew member is part of a team responsible for performing routine tasks required to maintain and care for grape vines working in all vineyard operations throughout the life cycle of the vine. Responsibilities:

¥ Winter pruning

¥ Spring suckering and thinning

¥ Summer vine care through the growing season

¥ Fall harvest

¥ Weed management using cultivation and hand weeding around the base of the vines

¥ Yard and parking lot maintenance

¥ Water plants & general patio upkeep

¥ Crush pad team member during harvest

¥ Facility maintenance under the guidance and direction of the facility manager

Qualifications:

¥ A strong work ethic

¥ Reliable transportation

¥ The ability to take direction and work independently.

¥ Be able to stand/kneel for long periods.

¥ Be fit, able to lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs

¥ The ability to work outside in all kinds of weather and conditions.

¥ Days of work and daily start times can vary depending on the weather and seasonality but will typically be weekdays with weekend work during harvest

¥ Yard or field experience preferred

¥ Must be able to follow all safety protocols.

¥ Have an interest in learning about plants and how to properly grow quality wine grapes.

¥ General experience with hand tools, and lawn care equipment.

¥ Must pass a background check

Summary

As a Field Hand, you will be integral to the daily operations of our agricultural activities, reporting directly to the vineyard manager. Your core skills in farming and agriculture will be essential as you engage in various tasks, including lawn care and equipment maintenance. Additionally, your relevant skills in heavy equipment operation and horticulture will support our commitment to sustainable farming practices. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
