Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender, Server, Busser, Host, and/or Expo to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will be expected to cross-train and learn most aspects of the restaurant in the FOH. Four days of paid training will be provided at the restaurant (Bartender, Server, Host). Bussers only require 1 to 2 days of paid training.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic (Bartender/Server, 18 ) and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area (Bartender), including washing glassware.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Handle cash/card transactions accurately using Honor POS.
- Stay updated on current drink trends and menu offerings to enhance guest experience.
- Greeting and seating customers.
- Packing takeout.
- Taking phone orders and reservations accurately (pick-up, delivery, hibachi)
- Opening and setting up restaurant for lunch/dinner service (Bartender/Server)
- Expert menu knowledge (after training) with the ability to explain menu items in depth.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Chinese/Japanese cuisine preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with a point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- *Busser/Host/Expo applicants do not require any previous restaurant experience*
