What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm position at Fenner, Inc.?
Able to perform aspects of assembly.
Able to use computers to close out and reprint manufacturing orders.
Reads job manufacturing orders to determine belt specifications.
Able to calculate spec cards.
Performs wire bend test correctly and at designated time for each machine.
Able to read and use calipers and tape measures.
All aspects of machine set up including the following: Controller length, payoff speed, cutter, benders, dump tray, Z-center according to belt number.
Operates and observes machine to detect work pieces defects or machine malfunction.
Measures wire dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
Monitor quality, checking twists, bow, curve, edges, length, number of spans, belt tightness, sponge, pitch, and parallel.
Performs minor machine maintenance such as lubrication of moving parts, cleaning or replacing broken components.
Moves finished stacks to designated area.
