Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport passengers to designated locations on time while ensuring their safety.
- Educate passengers on safety protocols and assist with boarding and disembarking.
- Manage passenger behavior effectively, providing guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and vehicle inspections.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Write reports on incidents or accidents as necessary, ensuring thorough documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with school bus driving or paratransit services is advantageous but not required.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is necessary for this position.
