The Information Technology Manager will oversee a team of IT professionals, providing leadership and direction to ensure the department meets strategic and operational goals while fostering a business-oriented culture. The IT Manager will use their problem-solving and communication skills to address software, hardware, and application issues, support infrastructure and network activities, and oversee the design, maintenance, and implementation of systems and equipment. Some responsibilities include:
- Hire, train, coordinate, and supervise IT staff members, ensuring effective team collaboration.
- Support managed service providers in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks, computer systems, servers, software, and databases.
- Manage the networking environment by directing installations, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Develop and communicate standards for the use, operation, and security of networks, personal computers, and data.
- Proven expertise in project management, with a strong track record of successfully planning and executing projects.
- Understand the company’s network topology to diagnose and resolve network-related problems effectively.
- Consult with team members to develop system solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage the departmental budget while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Schedule, organize, and assign projects to team members.
- Ensure the satisfaction of internal customers by maintaining high-quality IT services.
- Use desired business outcomes to inform and drive IT decision-making processes.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, answering questions, and resolving problems.
- Manage the hardware inventory system efficiently. Maintain detailed records and documentation related to IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, an Associate’s degree in Information Systems combined with equivalent work experience.
- Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations.
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience, with two (2) years in a managerial position.
- Proven experience or demonstrated capability in the project management life cycle, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain key technical components.
