Job Description
Our client, a leading poultry company, is currently seeking an accomplished Production Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role :
1) Organize and manage daily operational requirements to consistently meet customer expectations through on-the-floor involvement
2) Oversee implementation of employee development programs to ensure company needs are met relative to employee knowledge, training, and development
3 ) Supervise production supervisors and monitor lead and hourly employees
4) Advise direct reports on proper handling of disciplinary actions, performance assessments, and overall communication with hourly associates
5) Set expectations, track results and manage accountability
6) Monitor staffing needs to allow company objectives to be met
7) Ensure a positive environment is maintained to allow for maximum employee involvement through department meetings, open-door policy, team activities and empowerment
8) Be a champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives
9) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the poultry industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in production management
